Virtually Explore the Rich Jewish history of the Upper East Side - A New Talk on Zoom

  • This is an online event on Zoom (map)

Explore virtually the rich Jewish history and heritage of some of the most distinguished Religious, Cultural and Educational Jewish sites on New Yorkโ€™s Upper East Side. This posh residential neighborhood is known for its wealthy denizens, upscale restaurants and designer shops. The area is also home to a remarkably storied and vibrant Jewish community, replete with a unique array of Jewish institutions.

Join us as we "visit" and talk about locations that have anchored this Jewish community for generations: The Jewish Museum, The 92nd Street Y, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the Park Avenue, Park East, Fifth Avenue, and Central Synagogues. Also included will be Congregations Kehilath Jeshurun (KJ), Or Zarua, Temple Emanu-El, and Ramaz Day School, as well as the newly built Moise Safra Community Center.

Our virtual tour lasts a little over an hour and will be followed by Questions and Answers.

Hosting your online stroll through history will be Barry Judelman, our Harlem specialist.
